F5D spar made from Prepreg

Our first prepreg spar. Carsten build up his new model with a prepregspar. Material is Carbon UMS UD and very stiff. All the other materials are conventional. Here you will found some pictures from the fabrication.

Paint on prepreg?

Our first test's with paint on the prepregmaterial. The planes should look nice and shiny. For us it was also important to see, what will hapen to the mold.

Men at Work. As bigger the hammer as smaller the problem! We forgot the vakuumline when we closed the opening door to the autoclav. :-) Ups......
